About this event

A celebration of Irish film, and the role played by music in telling the great stories of Irish cinema globally. Presented by The Clare Ashley Theatre Company.

Simon Delaney celebrates the journey of Irish Film music from The Quiet Man, Harry's Game, The Field, The Commitments to the more recent scores of The Banshees of Inisherin and The Quiet Girl.

A cosy afternoon with performances of music from some iconic soundtracks such as Mná na hÉireann (Barry Lyndon), Falling Slowly (Once), Isle of Inisfree (The Quiet Man) etc., interspersed with some chat and discussions.

The award-winning composers composer Stephen Rennicks and Sarah Lynch will join us to chat about their scores to An Cailín Ciúin, Normal People and The Dry.
